In the following terms and conditions, "Programme" refers to the "Green Captain" Summer Programme which will be held from July to August 2024; and "Organizer" refers to Hong Kong Red Cross. 

 

1. This Programme is a parent-child activity, and children are referred to kindergarten to junior form primary school students.

 

2. The date for online registration shall be based on the time when the Organizer receives the application form.  (A limited quota for Green Captain will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis )

 

3. If sufficient, correct and clear information is not provided, the Organizer will not be process the application.

 

4. If the applicant withdraws for any reason, all donations will not be refunded. 

(Please do not register twice) 

 

5. After registering, if the applicant fails to raise sufficient fund (the minimum fundraising amount is HK$380) before the deadline (i.e. on or before July 24 2024), the registration will not be confirmed, and we will not send out the welcome pack, sorry for any inconvenience caused. 

 

6. All successful applicants will receive a welcome gift pack. including: "Green Charter",  a pack of "Green Art Installation" element designed by Local Sustainable Fashion Designer Kay Wong, a set of game vouchers for "Greentival" Green Market, a general admission ticket by Ocean Park Hong Kong (Value:$498), sponsorship gifts, vouchers and more. After completing this programme, "Green Captain" will receive the official certificate issued by Hong Kong Red Cross and a "Green Captain" official badge. 

 

7. Participants must provide accurate personal information. The Organizer reserves the right to take legal action against anyone causing losses through false information or identity theft. 

1. Local Sustainable Fashion Designer Kay Wong specially designed a green art installation for the "Greentival Green Market. Kay will use the elements designed by the "Green Captain" and combine them with 6Rs (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Replace, Repair, and Rethink) - reshaping technique to design a green art installation with the theme of climate change and environmental protection, which will be exhibited in the "Greentival" Green Market.


2. Every "Green Captain" will receive a pack of "Green Art Installation" Element in the welcome pack, and the participants will make use of the elements to re-create their work.

 

3. Please remember to return it directly to HKRC (Address : Red Cross Shop, 5/F, Hong Kong Red Cross Headquater, 19 Hoi Ting Road, West Kowloon, Hong Kong ; Remark on envelope: "Green Captain Summer Programme") by mail or in person during office hours (Monday to Friday: 09:00-13:00; 14:00-17:00) on or before August 16 2024 

If Hong Kong Observatory issues a red or black rainstorm warning signal or tropical cyclone signal No. 8 or higher, 3 hours prior to the event,  the "Greentival Green Market" event will be cancelled. Any temporary changes or cancellations of relevant activities will be announced via the oragnization’s website or social media platforms. 

1. The Organizer reserves the right to use the photos of participants taken by the official photographer on the event day for any promotion purpose. 

2. The Organizer has the right to modify and interpret the above rules and information. 

3. If there are any disputes, the Organizer reserves the right to make the final decision on all activities, competition details and rules. 

If you provide your name, address and do not state "no receipt required" on the donation form, we will issue a receipt to you automatically. The receipt can be used as a tax deduction claim for charitable donations for tax purposes. You will help us to save administrative costs if you choose not to receive a receipt. Apart from that, we would also appreciate if you could provide us with your contact number for any necessary communications.

A donation receipt will normally be sent to you within 3 to 4 weeks. Please bear with us that during period of emergency relief, it may take around 4 to 6 weeks.

Yes, you may do so. Please simply state clearly on the donation form the name you wish to be printed on the donation receipt. If you make online donation, please provide your Online ID and receipt name and send to crd@redcross.org.hk or call 28020016.

Hong Kong Red Cross is an approved charitable institution (IRD ref no. 91/356). In accordance with the Inland Revenue Ordinance in Hong Kong, if the total amount of your donations to an approved charitable institution is HK$100 or above during a financial year, these will be tax-deductible upon submission of donation receipts.

There is no maximum donation amount. However, we suggest a minimum donation of HK$50.

Hong Kong Red Cross undertakes to comply with the requirements of the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance to ensure that personal data kept are accurate and securely kept. To safeguard interest of our data subject, Hong Kong Red Cross collects personal data from you for the purposes of handling donations, issuing receipts, and registration, and will only use your personal data for such purposes and promotion purposes (as defined below). 

By signing on this statement as parent and/or guardian of your child, you thereby authorize Hong Kong Red Cross to use your and your child's personal data (including name and contact details) for the purposes of providing you with information of HKRC, donation follow up, communications & promotion activities. Please note that your and your child's personal data may be provided to third party service provider (outside HKRC) who provides data handling for administration and marketing purposes. However, we will not use these personal data for donation follow up, communications & promotion activities or provide it to the third party service provider for administration and marketing proposes unless you have no objection to it and indicate your consent by signing this statement. Upon your request at any time and at no charge, we will cease to use these personal data or provide it to the third party service provider for marketing purposes.
